Design Development / Planning

This stage serves to ensure the design meets the client’s spatial requirements. Here, we carry out design studies and costing exercises to test the design in line with the project brief. By the end of this stage, we will have coordinated the architectural and engineering information required for the planning process and submitted any required planning applications.

Key activities during this stage include:

Design Studies: We fine-tune the design to match the space requirements and get feedback from the client, making sure everything is practical and works well.

Cost Checks: We look closely at the costs to make sure the project stays within budget. If necessary we will look into phasing the project.

Coordinating Information: We gather and integrate the necessary architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) information to ensure everything fits together smoothly.

Planning Applications: We prepare and submit the planning applications to local authorities, including all required drawings and documents, to comply with regulations and codes.

Client Reviews: We present the refined designs to the client for feedback and approval, making any needed adjustments before moving forward.

By the end of this stage, the project should be well-prepared for the next steps, with a clear and approved design ready for detailed development and construction.
